Fab Night out. : ) : ) Posted by Picasa

So happy.

So full.

So contented.

Thanks babe for the fantastic night out. I'm gonna miss you for the next 2 and a half months for sure.

The authentic Singapore Sling at the Raffles Hotel had me high and dry. hahaha the exotic blend of alot of different ingredients made it taste bittersweet and lingering. I yearned for more with each sip coupled with the colonial style back drop and sexy music from the low deep voice of the singer. Definately a damn good place to chill.

Photos up soon. : )

"The tenderloin stick didn't fail to meet up to its good standard."

I am so highly tickled that I typed STICK instead of STEAK at 1am last night or rather early this morning.

Ya I want to be a stick. (Obviously not happening)

But this is so damn funny!

P.s Stop "hyuk-ing" April Lim.

What a turn of events!

I was supposed to go swimming at Clementi this evening. However upon entering there were hordes of people in the pool so we decided not to swim. Then I saw...

MY SWIMMING COACH FROM AT LEAST 10 YEARS BACK!

wow. He totally didn't recognise me at all. hahaha. But it was good to see him after eons.

Well anyway then we walked round the entire Clementi in search of Zhen Ji. But alas we found Jacks Place instead!!!!

Instead of losing pounds I added some on. haha But it was well damn worth it. I am so pleased and satisfied. My craving for a few years has finally been appeased. The tenderloin stick didn't fail to meet up to its good standard.

And also in the midst of looking for the coffee shop, I found Sour Plum ice cream!!!! It is like almost extinct in the whole of Singapore la!! Though I still cannot find my original polar bear brand, but this one was alright too.

2 cravings appeased in one night. Food makes me so HAPPY! : ) : ) : )

I haven't had much to blog about recently due to the nature of my blog's audience. So therefore I cannot express my angst openly and I write it in my own diary instead. Don't know why I am so irritated anyway. Just an accumulation.

Well anyway the week has been rather relaxing. Went swimming last night with Cher and swam through some turbulent waters. Stupid assholic I-am-so-damn-good-in-freestyle-and-I-have-a-six-pack shithead kept swimming next to me thus causing the sudden shake which results in an abrupt gush of water into the mouth instead of air.

Jan will be going back to UK this sunday. -sobs-

On the brighter side, December is something to look forward too. It's christmas time! Tanya will be here! Kel will be here! I'm going on a holiday! Janice will be back!

There. 5 damn good reasons to smile.

Anyway as most would have known, I got rejected for the hk trip thing! Failed the interview terribly I guess. And I was rather upset. But thanks to all who offered consolation in all manners, it really is greatly appreciated. : ) : ) As someone pointed out, Life is full of ups and downs, I'm just getting a taste of it. So I shan't fret. Go on my own holiday. Hurhurhur!

"If I kissed you, would fireworks fly?" *fluff grows in my head*

It's a song btw if you didnt know. haha no I have no desire whatsoever to kiss anyone. Just that everytime I hear that song I picture that kiss followed by fireworks at the back. So romantic! The girl has one leg lifted up. HAHAHA

*scrams back to do chinatown essay*

Goldfish woes.

My fish all died within half a day because of a fin disease which crippled them and thus they start to flip upside down and to cut short the agony we just threw them away. *wails* I mean I never quite looked at my goldfish but now it seems to empty looking at the totally cleaned out tank.

Which is why my wish to have a puppy has never quite been fulfilled. I tend to get too attached to the pet that if it dies I will want to die too. But then again next time when I have my own condo cum nunnery I will have a puppy I swear. : ) : )

The weekend has been rather good. Chilled out at home with some choya plum wine and barcardi breezer coupled with 2 big bags of very unhealthy snacks. Watched the OC till I fell asleep. Then zoomed to JB for some damn cheap food just now.

5 dishes, 1 soup and 1 dessert = 62rm.

DAMN CHEAP CAN!!!

hahaha and it was restaurant style. and they served the rice in a bowl. We used chopsticks to eat. I love that place alot! Food tasted good too therefore it was all in all a really good dinner. : )

I'm going to attempt to make my own ramly burger for tmr's breakfast. hurhurhur

Assignments still loom over my head. I need some DRIVE!

Think simple. I should seriously stop reading blogs lest I begin to bear a personal grudge against your superficiality. The more I read, the more it intrigues me! As in your take on certain matters just entirely baffle me because they clash in total contrast to my own thoughts and perceptions. *screams*

Or am I just being difficult. I find that I've drifted quite far apart from my once very close friends. I guess I need a break. It's hard to maintain friendships but it'll pull through. I just get highly irritated when our thoughts are entirely not in sync. Frustrating.

On the other hand I've derived much joy from laughing about everything and anything today. Buffet was shiok and satisfying. Whahaha. And I saw 34234231 things I'd like to get from a particular shop. Sigh. So much for having a fetish for that brand and all other beady exquisite accessories. It sucks my money out of the bank.

I have so many wants. Maybe its time to take a step back and be contented with what I have.

But cannot lah. I'm such a vainpot.

I shan't elaborate on what happened in uni. I guess everyone knows about it already anyway.

I was just traumatised by the incident. And it definately did bring me to my senses.

No matter what life's challenges are we should face up to it with the best that we can offer.

Give me one day. I'll get over it.

Goody Morning!!! Its a sunday morning and my dad has gone fishing so there is no bukit timah hill for today. Somehow cos he's not here it feels more like a sunday. hahaha when he's here we're more regimented. Like wake up, get ready and get out of the house. I can't laze around, read a bit of the newspapers or switch on the com.

Therefore, mum is still the best! without the nagging part of course.

Mcdees breakfast here i comeee!!!!!!!!

Happy autumn day festival folks. : ) : )

As they always say, the grass is greener on the other side.

My trip down to nus yesterday had me seething with envy. Their library is gorgeous. Filled with 342442453 seats and nice full blast a/c for people to sit down and do work. So conducive and the lights are nice, bright and glaring too. More importantly their collection of books available there was astonishing. I could almost find everything and anything I wanted.

Aside from the nerdo part, the people there are worth taking a few glances at. Girls really redefine the notion of being slim man. The food was great too at the deck. Woot. I had Japanese food which consisted of dory fish with curry, rice, soup, a bit of salad and a packet of seaweed (?). But it was really nice. : )) Plus a cheng ting drink too. Fwaahh the rest of the food looked fab as well. How can the girls there remain so skinny (just nice in their opinion) man!

Even the Jap food over at NTU's canteen A pales very much in comparison.

I met quite a few people yesterday in NUS. The funniest had to be Sunita. I was waving like a mad woman outside her tutorial class and she was sitting inside looking at me like I was some kinda psycho waving at the door. Then finally she decided to come out and check it out before realising "OMG its ANGIE!" geez apparently the glass was tinted so she couldn't quite see who I was.

Anyway I'm still seething with envy. hahaha the environment is so different man. People wear super short shorts to school much to my astonishment. I think hardly anyone even wears short skirts to school over at the western side of Singapore.

Somehow I had very mixed feelings when I reached home last night. Sigh!!

It's Saturday, the 2nd last day of the supposed week break. I haven't baked my cheesecake, because mum is on a diet! Have I mentioned how broke I am? To make things worse I got on the wrong bus last night and had to resort to takng a cab (again) because I was carrying 4 hard cover books from the library plus bag plus laptop so I was lazy to walk all the way out to get the right bus. ARGHHH. How to get through the month of september cum october!

Please do not ever ask me out to go shopping.

Please only ask me to go eat super cheap food or else its your treat.

I'm hopelessly in love with Janice's crumpler laptop bag. I so so so want the red one. In the month of October it shall be mine. MUHAHAHA

All hail the CHEESECAKE CAFE!!! and the wonderful ambience inside. : )))))))))))))))) Posted by Picasa

peachy chilled cheesecake. absolut heaven.  Posted by Picasa

My lovely company.  Posted by Picasa

I've been so caught up with watching Stairway to Heaven. Started on sunday night and I'm at my second last epi already. Korean shows are so sobby. Everything crashes in at the same time and as per normal someone has to die. Ok the someone hasn't died as yet and I'm already sobbing like my house got burnt or something. Why do they make these shows so depressing. No kidding man I was so taken in by the slightly exaggerated plot that I was bawling with tissue in my hand and struggling to breathe. Thank god there are only 2 mroe epis. I put my OC on hold for this show.

I even forgot that I had to give tuition today. Sigh. First time in my 1 year plus of teaching her that I forgot tuition day. I was really bothered with the hair dilemna. Yeah I have become an orange cum goldish aka Ghim Moh ah lian/ lioness. After much deliberating I decided to live with it. : ) Maybe the colour will become nicer in a few days time after several washes. *self consolation*

Dinner last night with Jan, Peishan and Cher was fantastic. Just loads and loads of girl talk so it was great. I felt so sorry for dragging Jan to Masa but she couldnt cut her hair cos it was rather crowded. sigh sorry babe!!!!!

I galivanted all the way to Siglap today for the well renowned cheesecake cafe and it didn't disappoint me. Thanks Qing for bringing me there! Shall upload the pics and they're rather dark so u can't see the lian-ness of my lioness hair. Muhaha. Oh yah back to the cheesecake, it was really really satisfying. I had the peach cheesecake with jelly and the taste was light yet a bit sour-ish. Qing had the chocolate cheesecake which was richer but tasted heavenly too. I bought the Blueberry american cheesecake and rum and raisin one back for the other 2 cake lovers.

I am so not thinking about the work i have waiting for me. Haha deal with it one at a go. So far no stress this sem man.. hope to keep it up! : )

Cheers people!

21 readings and about 50-60 soil samples later thank god we had swensons all time good chocoholic sundaes to keep us sane.

But I thought it was damn fun doing field work amidst the minor hiccups here and there. But we did it in the stipulated time frame so I am damn happy!!!!

Just renamed all the photos to ensure that there is no mix up so now I can officially concus on the bed. Damn damn damn tired.

Rewarding ourselves with the FROSTED CHOCOLATE MALT!!!!! sadly the 4 dollar offer was long over. Posted by Picasa

More photos! haha that were taken off my fixed camera. From 2 months back during the orientation camp and my cam died on me right on the 1st night.

My sister is such a lucky shit. She is going to watch Quidam. And maybe she'll see some esplanade ushers there. hahaha but still oh gosh she is going! I'm so jealous!

Nothing much to blog about today. Been a boring day except for a certain hopeless sighting. Muhaha.

I am such a groupie. hahaha

but, AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe Junyang made an appearence at the SA alumni dinner!!!!!

Boohoohoo I should have just gone. *sulks*

Not that he is damn good looking or what but if he sang there and then I would have just died. And maybe few months later I'll look at this entry and feel quite damn embarrassed.

But for now sheesh man I should have gone!

The perfect catch was an alright movie. Not exactly a very romantic one and it was rather predictable. But it had a sweet ending la so that made up for the rather boring bits in between.

The itchy finger syndrome struck again today. Whilst waiting for sis in Jurong point I went into Esprit and bought a gorgeous top. So technically, I should really put a stop to my uncontrollable shopping, but whilst waiting I have nothing to do right and I don't really wanna sit in some cafe alone so I have to walk around! And I always declare myself broke so as to stop the shopping binge but arghh the top so nice how can I possibly put it back! Then I walked into Pepper Plus and the tops were 10 bucks. HOW NOT TO BUY RIGHT? but I didn't la cos they didn't look quite nice on me. heng ah

Conclusion of the day : Next time I have to wait for someone I should go sit on the toilet bowl and day dream. Just that the Jurong Point toilets aren't very inviting. : (

School has been rather fun. :) That's if I can get through without blowing my top. But the patience is being rather stretched. Beware! Well when serious work is concerned I guess its always like that la.

I can't wait for next week to come!!!!!!

A51 gathering. JS closed his eyes!! and our xiao long baos went cold. but it was good to see MR WEE!!!! Posted by Picasa

*ROARRRRRRR*

Just shut up, ok.

She never fails to make me wanna scream, rip my hair and tell her she has no right to tell me how I should lead my life.

Ok fine she does have a right as parent. BUT STILL!!

I feel like a primary 2 kid telling my mother there is no school tomorrow so can I have one night off to slack?

*ROARRRRRR*

As you can tell, i've been feasting alot! The cakes have been really fantastic. : )) Now I'm really eager and yearning badly to go try the cheesecake at Siglap. I really love cheesecakes with the nice jelly topping and yummy crust!! Super shiok.

I already came up with a to-do list for the week break next week. Haha and sadly I'm thinking on too optimistic a note. I feel as if I'm planning for a month long break. Sigh! But what tops the list would probably be to make my own cheesecake, clear out my accessories table and hopefully clear some of my essays. : ) If the cake turns out nice then ok I'll invite some people over for tasting!

Watching the Oc continuously is such a joy. Unfortunately I'm tied to my readings tonight. *protests* WHO ON EARTH INVENTED READINGS?!?!?! He/She ought to be drowned in a pig basket.

I've officially had it with Singapore's taxi drivers and queues.

Due to my serious inability to manage time well, I've been taking cab for the past 2 days thus wasting quite a bit of my time and money because each trip costs over 10 bucks. (arghh) Having to sit a cab is no longer a luxury nowadays and I think next time no matter how late I am I'm going to take the MRT. Safe, reliable and less vexing.

Tell me now, what's with friday afternoons and long taxi queues?! Stupid lazy housewives have too much money to spare from grocery shopping so they decide to hog the taxi line. 4 out of 5 in the queue at Jurong point are headed for somewhere else in Jurong. Can't they just take the damn bus?!?! I spent half an hour both yesterday and today waiting for that one miserable cab and the cheapo me refused to call one in.

Today was just the worst experience I ever had. It was drizzling and so naturally the queue was long. This stupid girl stood quite a distance from the main queue so I was nice and asked her if she was in the queue. She said yes. Then I stood behind her and another guy. This family came and stood in the main queue, cutting the girl's queue. Girl stands there and does nothing whilst I'm glaring at her with eyes that want to KILL at the back. Then she moved forward so no one else could cut her queue (finally) so ok fine. about 20 mins later I finally reached the front of the queue. Wah lau ehh 5 mins pass.. empty cabs whizz past without stopping and one even opens the windows and shouts for passengers that want to go to Jurong only. Another 5 mins pass.. before a cab comes into sight and is willing to take me as passenger. I want to go to Paragon, and the cabby driver drops me at Mount E. cos he wants to avoid the orchard road jam.

Great! so now cabby drivers do not ask first about whether you mind the jam then just drop you off at some other location where I have to walk a bit to get to where I wanna go, and empty cabs WHIZZ BY WAITING PASSENGERS and is it due to the rainy day that all cabbies decide to DISAPPEAR??? I really don't understand why they would want to queue up at Changi Airport for hours when there are a zillion other passengers waiting out there. And you know those little green buttons that say press for cab? I highly doubt they're even connected to the main system. Press until your finger drops out also the cab will never appear.

I won't even start about their wonderfully experienced driving.

That's it I tell you. I am never (ok fine not in the near future at least) going to take a cab.

I'm not in that foul a mood anymore though. Lunch with A51 people and 2 episodes of the OC later I'm happy again! Yeah i'm major lagging. Catching up with all the epis that I've missed in season one and looking at Marissa just makes me happy! She is so damn pretty. sigh. Lunch was alright.. had the fried rice at ding tai fung, recommended by Qing and it was really good!!! Didn't look like quite alot but super filling. Walked around town a bit then headed home before being whisked off to a sudden family dinner with my dad's side. Didn't feel quite comfortable though. Guess we're just not as close as my mum's side so everything is on a superficial level.

Back to more OC for now then!!!

*refuses to look at the stack of geog readings. I'm still in the delusion of there's nothing to be done for this weekend. hurhurhur
